Excellence in Cosmetic Dentistry 2007
Our entire office attended the "Excellence
in Cosmetic Dentistry 2007" conference in Atlanta, GA. This conference was presented by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Techniques and materials continue to advance and we were involved with cutting-edge continuing education in the latest developments in cosmetic dentistry. This 5 day conference allowed all our team members to become even more skilled in this exciting area of dentistry.
We were in the company of some of the world's leading dentists, not only as attendees but as instructors also. Dr. Bill Dorfman from Extreme Makeover fame, Dr. Peter Dawson and Dr. Larry Rosenthal were just a few of the incredible speakers.
Dr. Vander Vliet attended courses that encompassed many different areas, such as a hands on workshop with the new Cerec, a chairside computerized system that fabricates crowns and onlays from a block of porcelain. This eliminates the need for a second crown insertion appointment, making it more convenient for our patients.
During breaks from the conferences, we were able to visit the exhibit area, where top quality dental suppliers had information and samples of the newest and best products on the market today.
While we enjoyed the courses, the opening night gala was an astonishing event. The AACD pulled out all the stops and reserved the new Georgia Aquarium!
